1. Misuse, maintenance neglect, abuse, vandalism, abnormal operation or accidents, not changing the oil at required intervals , or not enough oil.
2. Defective or improper installation
3. Defective or improper installation of distributor, carburetor, or other accessories, that could cause melted pistons & rings, and/or destroyed bearings.
4. Improper break-in procedures, possibly damaging camshaft, lifters, or pistons and rings.
5. Improper flywheel/flex plate torque.
6. Over revving or abuse that could cause bent or broken connecting rods, or bent or broken push rods, or broken valve springs.
7. Environmental conditions, over heating or freeze cracks from lack of coolant.
8. Burned, scored or melted pistons from pre-ignition, or detonation, or lack of lubrication.
9. Damage done by racing or competition or other non vehicle usage.
10. Foreign material in combustion chambers or oil pan from improper installation.
11. Failure of components or parts not furnished or otherwise approved by C.D.P. for installation, or components or parts unsuitable for use with said engine.
12. Damage to pistons and other components from components from detonation or pre-ignition. Distributor not installed correctly, too much timing, bad fuel, and too low of octane for compression ratio.
13. Crankshaft thrust bearing surface worn. Defective or improperly installed clutch, or torque converter.
14. Internal modifications not authorized by C.D.P. Any internal modifications will result in voiding warranty.
15. Nitrous Oxide or Supercharger: Installing these components on an engine that wasn’t properly built for them will void the warranty. We can custom build you an engine suitable for these applications, but must be told in advance.
16. Over fueling, over carbureting, poor ignition, or other dilution of lubrication will void warranty.
17. Abnormal wear, tear, abuse, or use of an engine other than for which it was originally intended.
18. Subsequent damage to engine due to the failure of the operator to immediately cease operating and protect the vehicle when a failure has occurred.
19. Please remember, we take great pride in our workmanship, and we hope you do to. If you have any problem at all please contact us first. 99% of the time a problem can be solved without having to ship the engine back to C.D.P. for repair. And please remember, we try to use the best parts available on the market, but we do not manufacture the parts, so if there is a parts failure we will try to work with you the best we can.
